Be prepared to Pattern the Future

A live brief set by Eley Kishimoto.

The theme of my project was luxury botanicals, taking inspiration from the forms of florals as well as their textures and mark making. During the project I made my motifs more graphic using silhouettes and combining them with broken geometrics.

My collection outcome consisted of nine material surfaces for luxury interior and public spaces for example high-end hotels using a variety of materials and techniques. The broad range of processes used included: sand blasting glass and mirror, screen printed, engraved wood, engraved velvet, and waterjet cut copper.
